Another gorgeous Mid Century Stereo Cabinet. Looks to me like this one opens only in the middle, that’s good news if you wanted to keep the functionality of the stereo and still display items on it. As in added bonus these guys say they’ll deliver in LA for $20, not bad ‘tall. [

If you’ve spent any bit of time wading through the craigslist ads for mid century furniture and decor, you’re well aware of the fact that there are quite a few items of extremely high quality as well as – dare I say it – historical significance. Something like
this comes to mind. However here at Mudlark Global Headquarters we find it hard to plop down over 6 months worth of rent money on a pair of authentic Eames Lounges, the same goes for
$1500 credenzas and
$400 Lamps. No matter how nice they might be, and no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves they’re feasible purchases, they’re simply too little bang for our meager buck.
Which is why our objective here (and throughout all of life really) is to find the things that occupy the space where price and quality meet (or where price is way lower than the quality preferably). Which brings me to our specimen for today. A Herbert Inc. office chair from 1967, in good condition and perfectly reflecting the style that we love so much. All for the low, low, price of $55. [CL]

Tucked away in this ugly couch post is a gem of a Stereo Console. Only one photo but it looks like it’s hotness to me. If you’re looking for a credenza and don’t need drawers or any actual storage these old Stereo consoles can’t be beat as far as price is concerned.
